Domestic rivals Amir Khan and Kell Brook have longed exchanged words of wars but have of yet still not faced one another in the squared circle. Boxing fans have either claimed Khan has ducked the fight, or that Brook is undeserving of fighting Khan.
The demand for the fight between the two Brits have dwindled with both approaching the twilight of their careers – but there is still a demand for the fight, especially amongst British boxing fans.
In a recent interview, Amir Khan spoke about why the Kell Brook fight never happened in their primes and the possibly of them fighting sometime in the near future
“I was making more money in USA. When someone’s gonna talk so much trash, you’re gonna try to teach them a lesson. The way I thought I would hurt him, would be by not fighting him.” Khan said on the Last Stand Podcast
“Kell always runs his mouth and I think a lot of people wanna see me just shut his mouth up… Maybe it’s time to kind of put this guy in his place.”
