Anthony Yarde stops Lyndon Arthur in the fourth round to win the rematch and reclaim the commonwealth & WBO intercontinental light-heavyweight titles
From the opening bell Yarde went looking for Arthur and was forcing the pressure with heavy power punches. Arthur was able to withstand the pressure from Yarde and at times he was able land his punches.
But in the fourth round the fight ended. Arthur landed a jab and right hand combination but this sparked an attack from Yarde which saw Arthur backed up against the ropes. Yarde landed heavy body and head punches, which eventually saw Arthur fall to the canvas. It looked like Arthur would be able to fight on as the referee gave him a count but the fight was eventually waved off and there was little complaint from Arthur.
Frank Warren said post-fight that he and Bob Arum have agreed for Anthony Yarde to face the winner of Joe Smith Jr vs Callum Johnson in their WBO light-heavyweight world title fight, which is set for January 15th.
