Can Xu Slams Josh Warrington for Only Wanting to Fight On Home Soil
A fight between both men has been delayed due to the covid outbreak and restrictions as well as Josh Warrington’s wish to fight in the UK rather than travel to China or neutral location.
The reason for such a decision from Warrington is likely linked to the revenue he can generate by fighting in the UK. Josh is a huge ticket seller due to his large fan base within his home city of Leeds.

Should a fight between Xu and Warrington failed to materialise going forward, it is thought Josh would look to challenge WBC champion Gary Russell for his 126lb title.
Warrington was recently stripped of his title as he was mandated to fight Kid Galahad again but the boxer from Leeds choose to vacate as he wishes to secure bigger fights either at his home in Leeds UK or a glamour fight in the US.

Either way, Can Xu slammed Warrington’s decision not to travel aboard to face him: ‘We used to invite Warrington to have a contest in China or in a third country but he was afraid. He said that he just wanted to fight in the UK’, XU told Dan Rafael on Substack
‘Warrington is just a 30 year old man who only dares to fight in his backyard. What I want to say is I dare to compete against you anywhere and anytime. Do you dare?’
‘Once the situation is safe in the UK, we will battle immediately. Just keep your mouth shut and focus on training. Protect your chin and save it for me’
