Devin Haney (25-0, 15 ko’s) will defend his WBC lightweight world title against Jorge Linares (47-5, 29 ko’s) on May 29th in Las Vegas
The lightweight division is currently on fire with a number of top champions and contenders battling it out to be recognised as the top dog of the weight class.
Names which currently litter the division with hype and talent are Teofimo Lopez, Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, Vasyl Lomachenko, Ryan Garcia, Jorge Linares, George Kambosos Jr and more.
Devin Haney will take a step up in competition when facing the vastly experienced and former multi-division world champion Linares. The American Haney will be the expected favorite going into the fight and victory would hopefully set up a unification bout with either Teofimo Lopez or Gervonta Davis.
Of course, Linares will have different plans and will aim to become a world champion once again. Linares is a former three weight world champion, having won titles at lightweight, super-featherweight and featherweight.
