Today the official press conference for Amir Khan vs Kell Brook took place and it was a heated encounter between the two British rivials. Khan attempted to mock Brook whilst Kell gave Amir his prediction on how the fight ends on February 19th at the Manchester Arena
“Believe you me after this fight, if he can still remember my name, he will have respect for me when he comes around. I am still the best welterweight in Britain and I will show everyone,” Brook declares during today’s press conference
“This fight is a grudge match, this is what I want. I am sick of people asking me about this fight. I’ve been in with the pound for pound best in the world. This is an easy fight for me”
“You’ve never acknowledged me. I’ve heard you saying ‘Who is Kell Brook?’ I know you know who I am. I can’t want to spark you. I am going to retire you”
Amir Khan (34-5, 21 KOs) is a former unified super-lightweight world champion and won an Olympic silver medal in 2004
Kell Brook (39-3, 28 KOs) is a former welterweight world champion and in May 2017, Brook was ranked as the world’s best active welterweight by The Ring magazine.
