Sergey Kovalev vs Bektemir Melikuziev Is Cancelled Due To Positive Drugs Test
Due to Kovalev’s positive drug test via VADA – his scheduled bout with Melikuziev for Saturday January 30th has been cancelled. The location of had been moved from Russia to Indio, California and was due to be aired live on the DAZN.
Kolvalev’s opponent Melikuziev shared his thoughts on social media about the positive drug test and appeared open minded as well as keen for the fight to continue; ‘I don’t like talking, but I said it last night. It makes no difference to me, just put him in the ring, let us fight regardless’

Golden Boy Promotions whom were managing the fight card, released a statement on the cancellation: ‘Upon learning of Kovalev’s adverse finding, the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) determined that they must cancel the event’
